Mite B1 Wins Nutcracker Mite B Championship – 01/2/2010
In a rematch of a game from the day before, MLHA Mite B1 faced-off against MLHA Mite B2 for the Mite B Nutcracker Tournament championship at 5:00 pm on New Year’s Eve.
In a hard-fought game, Mite B1 beat Mite B2 5-3 to take the Cup. Mite B1 reversed the trend and beat Mite B2 for the first time in three tries this season.
Mite B1 got goals from #5 Colton, #9 Joey (2), #37 Griffin, and #25 Veronica. #00 Zachary stood tall in net to preserve the win.
The Nutcracker Cup will be making its rounds throughout the team in the coming weeks. Check-back for stories and photos as the Cup visits kindergarten, first and second-grade classrooms throughout the South Hills.
